DVF Fashion Week Recap

Hello lovelies!

Happy Monday and I hope you’re having a great start to the week, and if not don’t worry I have some fashion to cure the Monday Blues. Grab your cup of coffee (or tea) and enjoy this fashion fix!

Yesterday Dianne Von Frustenberg (DVF) showcased her S/S 16 collection and it was pretty maj! DVF is probably most well known for her wrap dresses, which lets admit are not only gorge, but very figure flattering. However this season DVF pulled out all the stops and showcased everything from dresses, jumpsuits and perfectly tailored suits.

Flowy maxi dresses, structured suits and bright pastels graced the runway, showcasing how DVF always takes us on an exotic trip. The models looked effortlessly flawless as their perfectly curled hair bounced with bright floral headpieces. The makeup was light and dewy with intense blue eyeshadow and blue eyeliner, which added just enough drama and flair for the show. The models looked like they were ready for a tropical vacay and I wanted to join. DVF set the tone by blasting a mashup of music which included Nicki Minaj and Drake that got the guests and models amped up. All the It models graced the catwalk, ranging from Kendall Jenner, Gigi and Bella Hadid, Jourdan Dunn, and even Karlie Kloss. Check out my fav looks below and let me know which one is your fav! -Habon xo

DVF showing us that neutrals can be just as fun as color!

Absolutely love how this looks like a dirac (traditional Somali dress)!

The perfect shade of pink with a sheer neckline and cinched waist, flawless.

This all white enable is ethereal yet strong. Perfect juxtaposition of femininity and masculinity.

Gigi Hadid wore the closing dress and I have to admit it was probably my fav look of the show. Simple yet stunning, very true to DVF brand.

PS: If last night wasn’t already a big night for DVF, the launch of their second season House of DVF premiered last night on the E! channel. The show is set on finding the next brand ambassador for DVF, by testing the candidates fashion and sales skills. Last night episode featured Rachel Zoe where the candidates styled her for an Oscar party look, and let’s just say there were some hits and definitely misses. Make sure you tune in every Sunday night to see who will win!

    1. I totally love her dresses. They finally opened a DVF store here in Atlanta and love shopping there. Omg, lucky you! I can only imagine how awesome she looked in person! xo
