I’ve been looking for the perfect French café for sometime now, and since I live nowhere near Paris the hunt has been long. You can imagine my surprise when I finally found a great one, and in Alpharetta out of all places! It’s a cute French cafe named Collet French Pastry & Cafe, but unfortunately hard to notice, since it’s tucked away behind a shopping center, but once you’re inside I promise you won’t be disappointed! The inside is clean and modern with plenty of natural lighting. Of course the highlight is the well displayed French pastries which are all handmade by the owner every morning. I love the strawberry tarts, macaroons, and eclairs. However the main highlight is the strawberry fountaine, it has the perfect flaky crust, smooth custard filled center and fresh strawberries on top. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Their lattes are equally delicious. I haven’t had a chance to try their other hot beverages but they had a great selection. The only downside is that it can get pretty packed, especially on the weekends, so seating can be limited. If you’re ever in the Alpharetta area I highly recommend stopping in to get your sweet fix, then you can head down to the Avalon to get your shopping fix. I call that a perfect day! Habon xo
