Burberry SS16 Recap

Hello lovelies!

I couldn’t think of a better way to start a Monday morning than watching the Burberry runway show. Although NYFW has come to an end, the fashionistas have crossed the pond to partake in LFW (London Fashion Week). One of my fav shows in London is always the Burberry show and it definitely didn’t disappoint this season.

The show took place in the Kenisington Gardens which was the perfect backdrop for the SS16 show. If the location wasn’t already perfect Christopher Bailey out did himself by getting British singer, Alison Moyet, who sang live with a full orchestra right in the middle of the runway! Her beautiful voice set the perfect ambiance as the models’ strutted the runway with slicked back hair, minimal makeup and an oxblood lip color. Christopher Bailey showcased the perfect blend of femininity and masculinity by pairing sheer cutout tops with military inspired jackets.

I have a feeling that most people will be talking about and snagging the hot accessories that came down the runway, in particular the Rucksack backpack. A lister model and the brand’s campaign star Cara Delevingne rocked the Ruckdack to the show embossed with her initials. She sat front row with all the It British girls including Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, Suki Waterhouse, and even Jourdan Dunn. The girls seemed to enjoy the show, and who wouldn’t with all the pretty pieces coming down the runway. Check out a few of my favorite looks below. If you missed the show you can watch it on the Burberry site here and you can even shop selected pieces from the runway at Burberry. If you’re on Snapchat you can watch the models get ready and highlights from the show. Let me know what your fav pieces! -Habon xo
